About Yandex Metrica
Yandex Metrica is a web analytics service operated by Yandex. It is presented as a free, general-purpose analytics system that helps site owners understand their visitors, study behavior on the site and judge how well different acquisition channels perform. The main marketing site is written in Russian.
The product is organized around analysis areas for traffic sources, user behavior, sales and content. Within behavior analysis it offers session replay, heatmaps and conversion funnels, and a demo version lets newcomers explore the interface before adding a tracking counter to their own site. A paid edition, Metrica Pro, targets large businesses and extends the basic feature set.
Metrica is a hosted service from a large search and advertising company and sits alongside Yandex Direct and the Yandex advertising network, which suits sites that advertise to Russian-speaking audiences. It cannot be self-hosted, and there is a free tier of the core service.
