About Scribbble
Scribbble is a macOS screen annotation app for live presentations, tutorials and recordings. You trigger a hotkey, draw over whatever app is open, and trigger it again to wipe the drawings. Because it draws at the operating system level, recordings and shares made with Zoom, Google Meet, OBS, Loom or QuickTime include the annotations, and it works across multiple monitors.
Tools include a freehand pen, arrows, rectangles and ellipses, a whiteboard that blanks the screen, an auto-fade mode where strokes disappear on their own, a spotlight that dims everything except a circle around the cursor, a translucent highlighter, text, magnify and zoom for live detail, snapshots of the screen or a region and a measure tool for pixel distances. Each tool is a single keystroke away, and the toolbar floats or docks to a screen edge. It is built Mac-first with native Apple Silicon performance and requires macOS 14 or later, with a free download and a one-time license for the full version.
