About Maccy

Maccy is a clipboard manager for macOS that records the items you copy and lets you search that history later. It lives in the menu bar and opens with a keyboard shortcut, so you can find an earlier snippet, choose it and paste it without reaching for the mouse. It requires macOS Sonoma 14 or newer.

A search box filters the history as you type. Selecting an item copies it, and a modifier key pastes it straight into the active app, with a variant that pastes without formatting. Items can be pinned so they stay available, deleted individually, and certain copies can be excluded from the history so sensitive values are not kept.

The app is written in Swift with a native interface and is released under the MIT license. It can be downloaded from the GitHub releases page or installed with Homebrew. The project warns that fake sites impersonate Maccy and names maccy.app as the only official website.
