About Humanitec
Humanitec is a commercial product set for platform engineers who build internal developer platforms. Its Platform Orchestrator is a graph-based backend that works out the infrastructure a workload needs and provisions it for each deployment, so developers describe what they need instead of filing tickets.
The suite also includes a Portal, which is the frontend for a platform with a service catalog, scaffolding and self-service. Open-source building blocks such as Score, a code-based workload specification, and pre-configured resource definitions fit alongside existing infrastructure-as-code. Features include environment management, role-based access and governance, deployment management, cost control, ephemeral environments, drift detection and rollbacks of both applications and infrastructure.
Humanitec is sold commercially and appears to offer a self-hosted option alongside its hosted service, plus reference architectures and an MVP program to help teams get a minimum viable platform running. A pricing page is available on the vendor site.
