About Google Memorystore
Memorystore is a fully managed in-memory data store on Google Cloud. It runs Redis, Valkey and Memcached, giving applications fast access to data held in memory, which Google describes as sub-millisecond, along with scalability and high availability.
It is commonly used as a cache in front of slower databases, and for session storage, leaderboards and other workloads that benefit from in-memory data structures. Google operates the instances, handling provisioning, patching and failover, so teams only connect with their usual Redis, Valkey or Memcached clients.
Memorystore is a proprietary Google Cloud service and cannot be self-hosted. Pricing is part of Google Cloud's usage-based model, described on its pricing pages.
