About Captions Bro

Captions Bro is a mobile video editor for iPhone and iPad aimed at creators of vertical video. It combines automatic subtitle generation, a multi-track editing timeline and a teleprompter, so a user can record a script, pull in clips from Photos, transcribe the speech and publish from one app.

Transcription runs on the device. Captions can be styled with templates, fonts, colors, outlines and shadows, with karaoke-style highlighting that lights up each word as it is spoken. Users can add punctuation, remove filler words, regenerate or retime lines, and support mixed-language speech with a secondary language. The timeline handles trimming, speed changes, keyframe animation, overlays, filters and audio cleanup.

Captions Bro is a commercial mobile app from the independent developer Taras Leskiv. The App Store lists it as free to download with in-app purchases, with the interface available in more than thirty languages. It suits solo creators who want captioning and editing on their phone.
