About Expensent

Expensent connects to an email inbox and collects every receipt and invoice it finds into one place. From there you can send any receipt to your accountant with a single click, or create a rule so that future receipts from a sender are forwarded automatically, including to accounting software such as QuickBooks.

It also searches old mail, recovering up to ten years of receipts and invoices already sitting in the inbox, and its example inbox shows it skipping non-receipt messages such as webinar invitations and product digests. It works with Gmail and Outlook as well as other IMAP mailboxes, and the site lists integrations and guides.

The setup is described as taking about five minutes, with cancellation possible at any time. The product is a hosted service aimed at freelancers, small businesses and anyone who regularly forwards receipts to a bookkeeper.
