DigitalOcean Spaces

DigitalOcean Spaces is an object storage service from DigitalOcean that exposes a fully S3-compatible API and bundles a global content delivery network. It is aimed at developers and small businesses that want to store and deliver large amounts of data, such as images, backups and application assets, without running their own storage servers.

Pricing is presented as simple and predictable, starting at $5 per month and including 1 TiB of outbound transfer. A cold storage option is listed at $0.007 per GiB per month for infrequently accessed data that still needs instant retrieval, with a minimum 30-day retention and retrieval of all cold data up to once a month included. Spaces is designed to complement local storage as a business scales.

Spaces is proprietary and available only as a hosted DigitalOcean service, so there is nothing to host yourself. It sits alongside DigitalOcean's compute, databases, networking and other products, and its pricing is published on the DigitalOcean pricing page.
