About Yours Journal
Yours is a journaling app for Mac built around files you own. Each entry is a normal Markdown file, with its images kept next to it, in a folder you choose, so you can browse, copy, back up and edit them in any other app, or hand them to an agent of your own. It supports rich text and Markdown, photos, lists, links and quotes, separate journals for different parts of life and a quiet writing space, and it works offline.
Yours is a one-time purchase that covers all your personal Macs, Apple Silicon and Intel, with no subscription for journaling. The early-access price is US$5, listed against US$49.99, and rises with every 50 users. Two features are planned: built-in AI that would draw on a compatible AI subscription you already pay for, so you do not pay twice, and an optional cloud backup as a separate subscription with pricing to be announced. Journaling works without AI, and an internet connection is needed only to sign in and periodically confirm ownership.
