About Valo Flashcards

Valo Flashcards is a vocabulary app built around short daily sessions. Each word or phrase has clear audio pronunciation, and spaced repetition using the SM-2 algorithm schedules reviews so vocabulary sticks in the long term. Progress tracking, streaks and experience points keep learning visible, and a mascot elephant gives the interface a friendly tone.

Courses are organized by theme, such as travel, food, slang, K-pop Korean and anime Japanese, and the app offers languages including Spanish, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and English, with 12 languages at onboarding. Later versions added exam-focused courses for TOEIC and TOEFL, a TOEIC goal tracker and the ability to share progress and challenge friends.

The app is free to download with in-app purchases and runs on iPhone and iPad. New courses are added regularly according to the store listing, which shows an English interface and a 4+ age rating, and a Valo mascot elephant that stands for never forgetting a word.
