About QtPass

QtPass is a multi-platform GUI for pass, the standard Unix password manager. Pass keeps each password in a GPG-encrypted file under version control, and QtPass adds a friendly graphical layer for viewing, editing, generating and organizing those entries on Linux, BSD, macOS and Windows.

It can call pass itself or use git and gpg2 directly, supports multiple profiles and per-folder recipients for multi-user encryption, and includes built-in TOTP support for one-time codes. Other features are password generation with configurable complexity, opt-in regex search across decrypted entries, Git integration, smartcard and USB token support such as YubiKey, shoulder-surfing protection, importing GPG keys, and a process output panel. The interface is available in over 60 languages.

QtPass is written in C++ with Qt 6, and the repository lists its licence as other. Packages exist for most Linux distributions and BSDs, with downloads and an AppImage for other platforms. Installation notes mention that the macOS and Windows builds are not signed or notarized. Your data stays in your own encrypted password store, which suits users already in the pass ecosystem.
