About Playnite
Playnite is an open-source video game library manager and launcher that gathers games from third-party libraries such as Steam, Epic, GOG, EA App and Battle.net into one interface. It also supports game emulation, so emulated titles can sit beside installed PC games. It is written in C# with WPF, is released under the MIT license, and requires Windows 10 or 11.
A privacy statement says Playnite itself does not store user information and that all library data is kept locally on your PC. Account connections are handled by library plugins, usually through the official login forms of each service, with only web session cookies or tokens stored, the same as logging in via a browser.
It can be extended with plugins written in .NET languages, PowerShell scripts and user interface themes, with an extensions portal for developers. Installers and a portable package are offered, the app notifies you when updates are released, and translations are managed on Crowdin. Community help is on Discord and Reddit, and development can be supported on Patreon.
