About Garage
Garage is an S3-compatible object store that can be run outside datacenters. It is designed for small self-hosted geo-distributed deployments. The software is lightweight and efficient, shipping as a single dependency-free binary that runs on all Linux distributions.
Garage is built for redundancy, replicating each chunk of data in three zones. It is highly resilient to network failures, network latency, disk failures, and sysadmin failures. The software is suitable for users who want to deploy object storage across multiple datacenters without a dedicated backbone.
Key features
- S3-compatible API
- Data replicated in 3 zones for redundancy
