About writeso.io
writeso.io teaches languages through stories rather than vocabulary lists. You type any topic, choose a language and a level from A1 to C2, and it generates a personal article, with each sentence translated into your native language and any word available on click or tap. Over 40 languages are supported in any direction, such as Spanish, French, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Swahili, Estonian and Icelandic.
The method is described as vision-first: you first read the whole sentence and its context, and only then split it into patterns and single words, translating to your language and reverse engineering it back. There are no vocabulary lists or grammar drills as a starting point. Topics can follow your interests, such as technology and AI, travel, food and culture, business, and art and design. A community section features stories made by other learners, with a progress indicator, and a Smart Vocabulary feature is marked new. A pricing page lists plans.
