About Steps: Workout & Pedometer
Steps is a fitness app that reads step counts from Apple HealthKit and shows progress against customizable daily goals, with streaks that include rest days. An AI Coach lets users chat about their workouts and get suggestions, and the listing says it runs fully on the device so health data stays on the iPhone. App Lock uses Screen Time to block distracting apps until the daily step goal is reached, and Stepboard is an optional global daily leaderboard that users can join or leave at will.
For workouts there are more than 23 types, with live pace, distance, heart rate and elevation, GPS route maps with GPX export, and a 3D route playback that replays a run or ride as a flyover. Charts, calendar heatmaps, yearly recaps and eight personal records cover history, and there are a native Apple Watch app with complications, eight home screen widgets and Live Activities. Steps Pro adds widgets, the Watch app, route maps, AI Coach, analytics and App Lock after a free trial. The app has no ads.
