About Steady
Steady is built for people who are afraid of flying. You enter a flight number or route and a date, and it pulls live pilot reports plus SIGMET warnings published by the NOAA Aviation Weather Center for areas up to 100 nautical miles around the flight path, combines them with typical seasonal jet-stream behavior and the general profile of the route, and shows an overall smoothness rating, a percentage of confidence, a breakdown by flight segment and a timeline chart. A wrong route match can be fixed with one tap.
Other features include MonitorBuddy, where fellow nervous flyers follow your flight live on a radar and send encouragement, live flight tracking, and calming tools that are preloaded and work in airplane mode, such as a one-tap SOS for guided box breathing and a 5-4-3-2-1 grounding exercise with soft haptics. Educational pieces explain why planes stay up and what each cabin noise means, and a small distraction arcade offers puzzles. After each flight the app creates a shareable Bravery Boarding Pass and keeps a history with streaks.
