About Trek

Trek is a self-hosted travel planner that lets friends, families or colleagues plan trips together in real time. It combines day-by-day itineraries, interactive maps, budgets and packing lists in one web application, so the details of a trip do not have to be scattered across spreadsheets, chats and notes. It covers similar ground to hosted planners such as Wanderlog and TripIt.

Day plans support drag-and-drop ordering of places, notes and bookings, with undo. Maps can be rendered with Leaflet, Mapbox GL or MapLibre GL, and place search uses Google Places when a key is configured or OpenStreetMap otherwise. Trek can import Google Maps and Naver Maps lists as well as GPX, KML and KMZ files, export GPX files and ICS calendar feeds, auto-sort the stops in a day, and show weather forecasts and public transport itineraries.

Most capabilities are add-ons that an administrator can switch on or off, including lists, costs, documents, collaboration, vacation planning and an atlas, with a journal, collections, MCP access and AI parsing as optional extras. The project is licensed under AGPL-3.0, supports SSO and works as a progressive web app.
