About metyping

metyping is a browser-based typing test. You pick a language and a mode, either timed at 15, 30, 60 or 120 seconds or by word count at 10, 25, 50 or 100 words, and it reports words per minute, accuracy and correct and incorrect characters as you type.

It supports 15 languages and variants: US and UK English, Spanish from Spain and Mexico, Portuguese from Brazil and Portugal, French, Japanese, Korean, Indonesian, Arabic, and Hindi, Bengali, Urdu and Nepali. Results are verified on the server, and public leaderboards for top WPM use those server-calculated scores. Solo events and ranked play add short challenges against your own record. You can take a test with no account and create one afterward only to save progress. Practice aims at weak keys, and the site includes a blog, a friends area and an upgrade option.
