About MapGO

MapGO is an online mapping and GIS platform. It turns coordinates into answers: you can look up locations, calculate distances, analyze geospatial data, convert map files and process lists in bulk from CSV files. It maintains its own boundary and coastline datasets for global lookups, and distances to borders or the coast are calculated against those mapped points.

A newer product is the Property Location Report for any US address. You type an address or drop a pin, click create report and get a PDF covering 26 categories, including natural hazard index, FEMA flood zones, wildfire exposure, nearby public schools, homes on the market, house price trend, census statistics, crime reported to police, regulated sites, wetlands, ground elevation and distance to the coast. Every figure names its source.

The report describes only the surroundings of a point, and the site cautions that it is no substitute for an appraisal, a flood determination for insurance or parcel records. The site also lists workspace tools, games and a pricing page, and describes free GIS software tools.
