About GitShare

GitShare has two parts. The repo sharing feature turns a private GitHub repository into a link anyone can open in the browser, so a recruiter, client or student can view code without being added as a collaborator and without a GitHub account. The owner gets per-link view and download counts plus email notifications, can set an expiry, and can revoke a link instantly while the repository stays private.

A code viewer provides syntax highlighting and renders notebooks, markdown and images. The Artifacts feature lets an AI agent in Claude Code, Cursor, Claude Desktop, Codex, Windsurf or VS Code publish HTML, Markdown and files as clean, versioned links on a gshr.page address with one tool call, using OAuth over MCP instead of API keys. Updates keep the same URL while earlier versions stay frozen at numbered paths, and agents can manage folders. An AI README generator that reads a repository is also mentioned.
