About Debtdrone
DebtDrone is a technical debt analysis tool for engineering teams. It scans source code for maintainability problems using an AST-backed engine and reports findings by severity, complexity and estimated effort. The aim is to surface debt before it slows later changes, and optionally to have fixes proposed as pull requests.
The same scanner runs in two ways. The command-line tool runs on your machine against a directory with no account and no repository access, and it can also be used by coding agents over MCP. DebtDrone Cloud adds connected GitHub repositories, stored reports, trends over time and pull-request automation on paid plans. It supports twelve languages, including Go, JavaScript, Python, Java, C#, Ruby, Rust, Kotlin, Swift and C++.
DebtDrone is a commercial product that can be started without a credit card. Repositories are cloned temporarily for analysis, and the site says fixes can be reviewed before a pull request is opened. It suits teams that want recurring technical debt reporting without maintaining their own tooling.
