About GeoPulse

GeoPulse is a self-hosted platform that builds a searchable location timeline from raw GPS data. It is presented as an open-source alternative to Google Timeline, collecting points from sources such as OwnTracks, Overland, Dawarich, GPSLogger, Home Assistant and Traccar and converting them into stays, trips and movement patterns.

It automatically detects and classifies trips, with configurable sensitivity and travel mode logic, and offers analytics on distance, visit frequency and movement over time. A map matching feature refines noisy routes to follow roads. It integrates with Immich, Memos and weather data so photos, notes and conditions appear in your map history, and you can import historical data and export it in standard formats.

GeoPulse is built with Java and Quarkus, a Vue front end, PostgreSQL and PostGIS, and the README says it typically uses little memory and CPU. The interface is available in English and Ukrainian. Installation is done with Docker, with options for MQTT, Kubernetes, Unraid and Proxmox in the deployment documentation. The licence is listed as other, so check the repository terms.
