About Evelant
Evelant is a browser extension that puts an AI assistant on the page you are reading. It uses the current page as context without copy-pasting, can scan the whole page rather than an excerpt, and shows which part of the page an answer came from. It works in Chrome and other Chromium browsers including Edge, Brave, Opera and Vivaldi.
Besides the page, it can take PDFs, images and files dragged onto it, open a local PDF, run a live search with sources through a /find command and carry several open tabs so a question can span them. The interface can be a chatbox or a compact orb, placed in the center or docked as a side panel, with themes, and a keyboard shortcut opens it. A voice shortcut lets you ask aloud.
Collaboration rooms let several people read the same page together with shared cursors, selections and one conversation thread, and each tab keeps its own session. The listing describes support for ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini models, and the site has pages by role for researchers, students, developers and marketers.
