About Envly
Envly is a native macOS app for developers who work with .env files across several projects. A sidebar lists projects and a structured key-value table replaces raw text editing, with inline editing, validation as you type and duplicate key detection so a stray quote cannot break a config.
Development, staging and production appear as tabs, so switching environments no longer means renaming files, and a side-by-side comparison shows drift between them. The production tab is masked and clearly marked. Variables can be imported from Vercel, Netlify, Railway and Fly.io, and the app warns when a .env file has been staged for commit.
Envly runs without an account or telemetry, and the site says secrets stay on the Mac, with an optional AES-256 encrypted backup for which the vendor holds no keys. It requires macOS Tahoe 26 or later and is sold as a one-time purchase with a 7-day refund window.
