About Dejavu

Dejavu is a web interface for Elasticsearch and OpenSearch. It lets you connect to indices in your cluster, view their documents with visual filters, edit data and import JSON or CSV files, all without writing queries by hand. It is rendered fully on the client side, so it can run as a hosted app or from a Docker image.

Features include remembered connections to indices, infinite scroll without page reloads, real-time updates, field mapping definition, custom headers for authentication, enhanced filtering and bulk updating through the Query DSL, and a global search bar across indices. Later versions add a search UI builder for testing relevance with faceted results, with exportable code for CodeSandbox, and connections to multiple indices.

The project is written in JavaScript and React and licensed under MIT. It is available as a Docker image and Chrome extension, and the README lists hosted alternatives alongside a public instance. It suits developers and search engineers who need a friendly way to inspect and manage data in their Elasticsearch or OpenSearch clusters.
