About Base

Base is a commercial SQLite editor built for macOS, made by Menial. It is aimed at a broad audience, from people learning SQL to developers who inspect and modify SQLite files every day, and it replaces the command-line shell with a native graphical interface.

A schema inspector shows tables, column types, constraints and relationships at a glance. A visual table editor creates and changes tables without writing CREATE or ALTER statements, while a data browser lets users filter rows and edit cells directly. An SQL editor offers autocomplete, syntax highlighting and reusable snippets.

Data can be imported from CSV and SQL dump files and exported to SQL, delimited text, JSON and Excel formats. A free download has limited features, and the full version is a paid purchase. As a local desktop app, it works on files stored on your own machine.
