About BugBoard.dev

BugBoard is a lightweight bug tracker for freelancers, indie hackers and solo developers, built around a Kanban board. Instead of a separate monitoring tool and issue tracker, a single call from application code reports an error and it appears as a card, so the bug report and the work item are the same thing.

Each card carries a severity, location and owner. Repeat occurrences of the same error are merged and counted rather than creating duplicates, and a card is escalated when its error spikes. Notifications go out for new bugs, escalations and reopened issues through Slack, Discord or email. Client SDKs are provided, with a short setup using a key and signing secret from project settings.

BugBoard is a hosted commercial product with a free Hobby plan and a pricing page for paid tiers. It suits small teams that want error capture and triage in one place without the overhead of a full observability platform.

Key features

  • One-call error capture from application code
  • Duplicate errors merged with occurrence counts
  • Automatic escalation when a bug spikes
  • Kanban board for triaging bugs
  • Four severity levels
  • Slack, Discord and email notifications

Good fit for

  • →Solo developers tracking production errors
  • →Freelancers triaging bugs across client projects
