About Book My Luck
Book My Luck is a small decorative desktop app for macOS and Windows. It places a charm that dangles from a cord at the top of your screen, sways on its own and can be flicked for a playful response. The rest of the desktop stays fully clickable, so the charm does not get in the way of work.
Each charm is tied to a tradition from somewhere in the world, for example the nazar boncuğu from Turkey, the hamsa from the Middle East and North Africa, a horseshoe, and the four-leaf clover from Ireland. Seasonal Halloween and Christmas collections are also offered, with new charms added regularly.
You can show, hide or switch charms from the Mac menu bar or the Windows system tray. No account is required, and the site says free bug fixes and small improvements are included. The homepage does not state what the app costs.
