About Adobe Audition

Adobe Audition is an audio workstation from Adobe for recording, editing, mixing and restoring sound. It offers multitrack, waveform and spectral display views, and is built to speed up the audio side of video production and to finish a polished mix.

Adobe highlights audio cleanup and restoration, precision editing, an Essential Sound panel for getting professional-quality results without expertise, and tutorials for tasks such as creating a podcast. It is designed to work smoothly with Adobe Premiere Pro, so editors can send video audio between the two applications.

Audition is proprietary software distributed through Adobe Creative Cloud and installed on the user's computer, not a hosted or self-hosted service. It suits podcasters, video editors, sound designers and audio engineers who already use Adobe tools.
