About Logic Pro
Logic Pro is Apple's music production application for Mac and iPad. It brings recording, MIDI sequencing, editing and mixing into one program, with a library of instruments, effects and sounds drawn from many genres and eras. Intelligent tools are meant to take over routine tasks so that producers can concentrate on the music itself.
For beat-making it includes Drum Machine Designer, which lets users build custom drum kits from samples, along with tools for programming drums and bass lines or turning samples into new instruments. Mixing tools carry tracks through to finished audio, and round-trip compatibility keeps projects working across Apple devices, apps and accessories.
Logic Pro is a commercial product from Apple. On Mac it can be bought once from the App Store, and it is also included in the Apple Creator Studio subscription bundle, which includes Final Cut Pro and Pixelmator Pro. A free trial is offered for the subscription.
