About FL Studio
FL Studio is a digital audio workstation made by Image-Line. It is built around a pattern-based sequencer, which lets producers sketch beats and melodies in small reusable blocks and then arrange them into full songs. The software runs on Windows and macOS and covers the whole path from a first idea to a finished track.
The package bundles a large set of instruments, effects, tools and sounds, and more plugins can be added through higher editions. Users can record, edit, mix and master inside the same program. Image-Line also offers FL Cloud, a separate cloud service that can be bundled with the software through some purchase options.
FL Studio is a commercial product sold in several editions. The vendor says buyers receive all future updates for their edition at no extra cost, and a rent-to-own option lets customers pay monthly until they own the license. A free trial can be downloaded before buying.
