About World Monitor

World Monitor is a real-time global intelligence dashboard. It gathers news from curated feeds grouped into global and regional topics, uses AI to condense them into short briefs, and presents them alongside maps, finance data and infrastructure tracking in one interface meant for situational awareness.

Two map engines are included, a 3D globe built on globe.gl and a flat WebGL map built on deck.gl, sharing one catalog of map layers. Panels cover cross-stream correlation of military, economic, disaster and escalation signals, a Country Instability Index with scores for 31 Tier-1 countries, and a finance radar that tracks equity exchanges, commodities, crypto and an overall market composite. The interface is multilingual, with native-language feeds and right-to-left support.

Several site variants (world, tech, finance, commodity, happy and energy) come from a single codebase, and a native desktop app built with Tauri 2 runs on macOS, Windows and Linux. Everything can run against local models through Ollama with no API keys. The project is AGPL-3.0 licensed, and its topics tag it as an OSINT tool with MCP server support.
