Workflowr

workflowr is an R package that helps researchers organize analyses in a way that supports project management, reproducibility, collaboration and sharing of results. It combines literate programming with knitr and rmarkdown and version control with Git through git2r, and generates a website of time-stamped, versioned and documented results. Any R user can adopt it quickly.

The features are grouped into organized, reproducible and shareable. A project template provides organized subdirectories, code and results are mixed in R Markdown, and Git tracks both. Each result displays the code version used to create it, each analysis runs in an isolated R session, session information is recorded, and the same random seed is set for each analysis. For sharing, it builds a website, documents how to host it free with GitHub Pages or GitLab Pages, and links to past versions of results.

The project has online documentation, an example based on a data exploration project, a registry of reproducible research projects at workflowr.io, and a low-volume announcement mailing list. The repository metadata lists the license as Other, so check the license file before reuse.
