About Untangle

Untangle shows which accounts and newsletters are tied to your inbox. You request your Gmail archive from Google Takeout and upload the file, and the scan runs in your browser, grouping every sender into one list with the number of emails, a type such as newsletter, business or personal, and a link to unsubscribe. A faster alternative connects once with a Google app password, reading only sender headers and never email content.

The site says nothing is stored except the aggregated sender list, the app password is never stored or logged, and inbox access is optional. You can unsubscribe from many services at once or one by one, and the real unsubscribe link is shown whenever one is found in the message headers.

Scanning is free and shows your top 10 services. A one-time Pro purchase of $13.50, not a subscription, unlocks the full list and CSV export. Per the site, payments are non-refundable unless Indian consumer protection rules require otherwise.
