About UltraWideo
UltraWideo is a Chrome and Firefox extension for making video fill the screen, aimed at ultrawide monitors but useful on any display. It removes black bars by upscaling or stretching, with modes for normal, upscale, stretch and custom, and works on inline and fullscreen players across Netflix, YouTube, Crunchyroll, Disney+, Twitch, Prime Video and HBO Max, as well as any other site that plays video.
The free version includes all video modes, keyboard shortcuts, touch and mouse-wheel gestures for switching modes and scaling, precise scale controls and pan controls to reposition the frame, plus appearance and language preferences, with no account. Pro adds a mode manager to trim the mode cycle, per-site and per-path configurations so each site remembers its own scale, an ambient light glow, adaptive quality enhancement, source letterbox detection to crop baked-in bars and sync.
The extension reports ratings on Chrome and Firefox, and its controls now sit in the browser toolbar rather than drawing on the page. A pricing page lists the Pro option, and the site publishes guides and a changelog.
