About Summarywise

SummaryWise is built for people who use YouTube as a study tool. While watching a lecture, interview or podcast, the user clicks Create Highlight at an important moment, and the AI reads the surrounding audio and writes a brief summary shown in the sidebar. Summaries can be edited so they match a course or research question, and each highlight links back to the exact moment in the video.

Highlights are organized by video, topic or channel, so a long video can become a repeatable study session. For example, three highlights in a 45-minute lecture can be reviewed later by jumping straight to those moments. The tool deliberately does not summarize whole videos; it focuses on moments the viewer chooses. The extension is in beta, installs in one click, and targets students, podcast listeners, researchers and professionals.
