About SnapZyn
SnapZyn turns each screenshot you take in the browser into a searchable note. Text in the image is read with on-device OCR, and the capture is AI-summarized, tagged and embedded into a personal library, so you can search by meaning instead of by filename. Pressing Command-J anywhere opens a search where you can ask your library questions such as where a particular pricing page was.
According to the site, your original full-size screenshots stay on your device, text recognition happens locally and AI is used only on request. The library offers all, threads and collections views and a search bar, and entries show auto-generated tags such as dashboard, devops or design. It is a Chrome extension that is free to start, with a pricing page and an FAQ.
