About Smartstore
Smartstore is an open-source e-commerce platform built on ASP.NET Core and Entity Framework Core. It combines a shop with CMS and CRM style tools, so a merchant can run a catalog, a storefront, marketing and content from a single application instead of assembling several separate products.
It supports multi-language, multi-store and multi-currency shops and offers SEO-friendly product catalogs with variants, bundles, discounts, coupons and downloadable products. A responsive storefront theme is included out of the box, and the platform has built-in AI features for generating text and images through external providers. Tools for payment, shipping and sales round out the commerce side.
The code is licensed under AGPL-3.0 and is cross-platform, so it can run on servers you manage, including cloud environments such as Azure. The architecture is modular and follows a domain-driven design, with a REST API and headless commerce options for developers who want to extend it. A developer guide, user guide, forum and marketplace support the ecosystem.
