About Virto Commerce

Virto Commerce is an open-source platform for building extensible e-commerce applications. It targets complex digital commerce for B2B, B2C and B2B2C businesses, marketplaces and derived SaaS commerce platforms, and its architecture is based on microservices, an API-first approach, cloud-native delivery and headless operation.

The platform is assembled from ready-made modules, with every application made of headless microservices that can also be reused in other applications. Business logic is available through REST or GraphQL APIs, and the API model, persistence model and business logic can be extended. The README describes cloud-native delivery in line with a SaaS model, with on-demand use, scalability and reliability across data centers.

The code base is written in C# with an Angular admin interface and is associated with Microsoft Azure. The repository lists its licence as other, so check the terms before use. The project positions itself as letting development teams concentrate on business features rather than architecture. It suits enterprise teams and agencies that need a configurable, headless B2B commerce backend on the Microsoft stack.
