About Recapp

Recapp, shown on its site as Rec, is a hosted screen recording tool built around AI coding agents. You connect an agent through a hosted MCP server and ask it to record a demo of what you just built. The agent steps through the feature in a live browser session, Rec captures the video and turns the agent's notes into narration, and you review it and send it to a Slack channel.

Recordings include transcripts, summaries and chapters, and the MCP server lets an assistant search recordings and read transcripts from the workspace. It works with apps behind a login through a browser window you control. Workflows include recording a bug with a ticket and sharing a competitor's flow. People can also record their own screen, camera and microphone in Chrome into the same library. It is free to start with no watermarks and no per-seat fees.
