About Play Designer Pro
Play Designer Pro lets coaches draw football plays and then teach them. Play drawing tools include ready-made or custom defensive looks that illustrate blocking schemes, formation templates for consistent alignment, guidelines for lining up players and routes, and route trees that can be applied to plays instead of redrawing. The tool supports tackle, flag and touch football, and an existing playbook can be imported from PDF, PowerPoint or images.
The distinguishing feature is quizzes generated automatically from the playbook. Players take bite-sized quizzes on plays, collections of plays called installs, or tags such as a type of play, earn XP and compete on a leaderboard, while coaches see reporting on quiz performance over time to decide what to practice. A roster feature gives coaches edit access and players quiz access plus a read-only playbook, and organization plans share limits across several teams in a program.
A 14-day trial includes every feature with no credit card, and plans are listed on the pricing page. The FAQ covers seasonal use, collaboration with other coaches, play limits, how the quizzes work and use on a phone.
