About Orbi
Orbi is an AI coding agent that works from GitHub Issues. You label an issue ai-ready, and Orbi picks it up, writes the code in an isolated worktree, and opens a pull request. A second, separate session then reviews the pull request against the acceptance criteria written in the issue and fixes what fails, and only the reviewed commit is merged before Orbi tags a release.
Issues are not treated as standalone items: epics and milestones define scope, dependencies set the order of work, and a dedicated release issue locks the finished work into a version number. After a restart, Orbi reconstructs where a delivery stood from the issue, its PR, labels, a journal and the run ID, and the whole record lives on GitHub where it can be inspected.
The core is open source under AGPL-3.0 and free to self-host on your own machine, so code stays local and you bring your own model. Setup requires Python 3.14 along with git, gh, systemd and a model endpoint, and a doctor command reports whatever is missing. A hosted cloud option offers three free deliveries without a credit card and only sees the repositories you choose.
