About NoteCalc3

NoteCalc is a notepad with a smart calculator built in. You write notes and calculations together, and results appear alongside them. The project describes itself as an attempt to bring the advantages of Soulver, a macOS calculator notepad, to the web as a free alternative. It is aimed at people who prefer working out numbers in a text-like document rather than a conventional calculator.

It is written in Rust and compiled to WebAssembly, uses libraries such as math.js and rust-decimal, and has topics covering math, linear algebra and matrices. The roadmap lists planned items including user-defined functions, conditionals, configuration options, currencies, timestamps, financial functions, time zone math, search and an embeddable version.

You can try it online or run it locally by installing rustup, npm, wasm-pack and serve, or by using Docker. NoteCalc is licensed under AGPL-3.0. Because many roadmap items are still unchecked, expect a work in progress.
