About Nixflix

Nixflix is a declarative media server configuration manager for NixOS. It aims to automate all the connective tissue needed to get the Starr applications and Jellyfin working together, covering Sonarr, Radarr, Lidarr, Prowlarr, Jellyfin and Seerr, so that after configuring the module it simply works.

The author lists the pain points it addresses: no version control for settings, tedious navigation of each service's UI and annoying inter-service configuration. Nixflix uses the services' official REST APIs, applying NixOS options automatically, and describes itself as opinionated, API-based, idempotent and commanding, meaning your code is the source of truth and drift is not a concern. Features include pre-configured modules, an optional PostgreSQL backend for the Arr services, WireGuard VPN integration with a kill switch and custom DNS, configurable media and state directories, custom systemd dependencies, nginx or Caddy reverse proxy integration and unified theming through theme.park.

It is a Nix flake written in Nix, licensed under MPL-2.0, with documentation online. It is relevant to homelab users who already run NixOS and want reproducible media servers.
