About Magic Earth

Magic Earth is a navigation app for phones and cars that stresses privacy as part of its design. It combines turn-by-turn directions with live traffic, 3D maps and offline map access, so it keeps working in areas with weak or no signal and can reduce mobile data use. It works with CarPlay, and a version for Android Automotive OS has been announced.

Routing is tailored to different modes of transport, including car, truck, bike and EV, and traffic information comes from a network of drivers who contribute updates. A live activities feature records a drive, ride or walk with GPS tracking, voice memos and photo or video uploads, turning it into a shareable log. The app is available from the App Store and Google Play, and a Premium license is sold on the vendor's website.
