About Logdy
Logdy is a lightweight log viewer that brings the experience of tailing logs in a terminal into a web browser interface. It is aimed at developers who want to view and filter logs in real time with a richer UI than grep, awk, sed or jq provide, without installing a logging server or shipping data to a third party.
It ships as a single binary with no dependencies, embeds its own web UI, and runs entirely locally, which the project highlights as a security and privacy benefit. It supports multiple input modes, including files, stdin, sockets and a REST API, and lets users write custom parsers and define columns using TypeScript, with an in-browser code editor that includes type support. It can also be used as a Go library inside another application.
Logdy can be installed with a shell script, through Homebrew on macOS, or by downloading a precompiled binary for the target architecture from GitHub releases. It is written in Go and released under the Apache-2.0 license, with a live demo and documentation hosted on its project site, and the project describes itself as under active development.
