About LLM Wiki Compiler

LLM Wiki Compiler, or llmwiki, takes raw sources and produces an interlinked wiki. It is inspired by Andrej Karpathy's LLM Wiki pattern and is built as a TypeScript command-line tool released under the MIT license. The output is Markdown that works with tools like Obsidian, so the knowledge base stays in plain files you own.

Recent releases emphasize review and trust. Version 1.4 lets you review generated answers and check their citations before saving them as published pages, approve a batch of pages together, and follow citations back to the wiki pages used to answer a question. Version 1.3 added several viewer themes, and earlier releases added exploration of records with provenance and supporting source passages, signed domain template distributions, configurable lifecycle profiles, recursive source folders, path exclusions, and project-specific compile instructions.

The topics also cite MCP server support and agent skills, so AI agents can query the compiled knowledge. It suits researchers, writers, and teams building a durable knowledge base from articles, notes, and documents, and who want generated claims tied to their sources.
