About Layerize

Layerize separates an image into foreground, midground and background layers based on estimated depth, and exports them as a layered Photoshop file or a ZIP of transparent PNGs. It uses the Depth Anything V2 model and a Rust WebAssembly post-processing step, runs in the browser with WebAssembly and WebGPU, and the site says nothing is uploaded to a server, so images and video frames stay on your device.

Beyond depth layering of up to 100 planes, it provides a Video Depth Layerizer that creates 2.5D parallax sequences with WebM export, SAM Magic Extract for click-to-cutout object selection with Meta's Segment Anything Model, background removal, prompt-based background replacement and an image enhancer. PSD output works with Photoshop, After Effects and Procreate.

Layerize is a web app with a free tier that splits images into 2 layers and exports full-resolution PSDs, while the paid Pro and Lifetime tiers lift the layer limit to 100 and add batch ZIP exports, SAM-based extraction and video depth layers. The site also includes a design blog and AppSumo license activation.
