About Remove.bg

Remove.bg is an online tool that strips the background from a photo automatically. A user uploads an image and gets back a cutout with a transparent background, or a plain one such as white, without selecting pixels by hand. Typical jobs include e-commerce product shots, car listings, professional headshots and logo or graphic assets.

Beyond the web upload, the service provides an API for developers, a Photoshop extension, desktop apps for Windows, Mac and Linux, and an Android app. A Magic Brush lets users touch up results, and the site also lists design templates, video background removal and automatic design creation. Dedicated pages target photographers, marketers, e-commerce teams, media companies, car dealerships and enterprises.

Remove.bg is a hosted commercial product and cannot be self-hosted. The site presents basic use as free, and paid plans, including yearly ones, are listed on its pricing page.
