About Immudb

immudb is a database that bakes in cryptographic proof and verification. It records changes to sensitive data in a way that makes the history immutable: you can add new versions of a record but never change or delete existing ones, and clients can verify the integrity of the history without having to trust the database itself.

It can work as a key-value store, a document-model database or a relational SQL database, supporting transactions and blobs, and topics mention PostgreSQL compatibility, time travel and Merkle trees. Typical uses include tamper-evident log data, sensor data, transactions, software build recipes, rule-based data, artifacts and compliance records for regimes such as PCI DSS and GDPR. The project contrasts itself with blockchains by being fast and usable as a light service.

immudb can run on an IoT device, a notebook, a server, on-premises or in the cloud, and can be embedded in a Go application as a library without a server or container. It is written in Go, and the repository lists the licence as Other, so review the licence file. It suits teams needing audit trails and verifiable storage.
